A Wedding at Graeme Park: Hye-Won & Tristan

Hye-Won and Tristan braved a mid-August wedding at Graeme Park, and lucked into a not too hot day for their ceremony behind the Keith House. Hye-Won approached the alter with her parents from a path through the woods and joined Tristan in front of the bright blue door on the 1722 stone house.

After their ceremony, which was performed by one of their friends, guests enjoyed a cocktail hour in front of the 19th century barn, complete with specialty cocktails.

Back at the Open Aire Affairs wedding tent, Forget Me Not Vintage Rentals had set the stage with vintage everything - rustic wooden tables, mismatched chairs, china, and glassware, old dressers, cute accents and two lounge areas outside the tent. The tent had also been upgraded with liner fabric, paper lanterns, and chandeliers.

Catering was done by Catering by Rich, who provided a menu of Caesar salad, vegetarian pasta, chicken piccata, sausage & broccoli rabe, and filet mignon, served alongside roasted red potatoes and green beans almondine.

The couple's aunt created many of the home baked treats on the dessert bar, which was staged on a vintage buffet.

Confection Perfection created the lovely, traditional 3-tier wedding cake with "Love" topper.

As the music heated up the night cooled down for dancing and merrymaking. Congratulations Tristan and Hye-Won and thank you for choosing to celebrate at Graeme Park.

A Wedding at Graeme Park: Tasha & Adraea

Tasha and Adraea were the third couple to get married at Graeme Park during our big Memorial Day Wedding Triple Crown. They planned a beautiful jazz-age inspired theme, beginning with a processional through the historic Keith House and out to the alter, framed by vintage doors from Love Bird Vintage Rentals.

Drinks, specialty cocktails and hot and cold hors d'oeuvres were served in the courtyard in front of the 19th century barn at Graeme Park.

Back in the Open Aire Affairs wedding tent, guests were created by a few more vintage touches, including a rustic wooden ladder with L-O-V-E on it, an old fashioned typewriter and instructions to find the "key to their seat" on a board featuring tags with skeleton keys.

Inside the tent, the pink and ivory color scheme and vintage feel continued with the guestbook and gift table.

The table featured pink and ivory centerpieces ...

... and pink glittery bottles with the table names and the dinner menu which included Texas smoked brisket, brown sugar rubbed roasted chicken, shrimp and pineapple skewers, mac and cheese, collard greens, corn bread, Caesar salad, and red bliss potato salad. The catering was done by Red Cedar Grille of Colmar.

The classic, traditional wedding cake was layers of lemon and strawberry and supplemented by cupcakes and a sweets table for guests to take a treat for the ride home.

After a great night of dancing...

... the couple was sent on their way with a sparkler send-off.

Congratulations Adraea and Tasha and thank you for celebrating at Graeme Park.

A Wedding at Graeme Park: Meghan & Chris

Our 2014 wedding season at Graeme Park concluded with Meghan and Chris. First and foremost I need to apologize for the photos - they were taken on a cell phone and it was a dark day so they don't even begin to capture just how pretty their colors and set-up was. Unexpectedly for fall, they chose a chocolate brown and light blue color scheme to decorate the tables in the Open Aire Affairs tent.

Centerpieces consisted of burlap wrapped vases stamped with the table numbers, branches and crystal beads, along with twinkly votive candles. The take-home favor was a jar of hot chocolate mix.

In place of a traditional wedding cake, they had a tower of all kinds of delectable-looking cupcakes.

Congratulations Meghan and Chris and thank you for choosing Graeme Park to celebrate your day.

A Wedding at Graeme Park: Casey & CJ

We're still playing catch up around here with the last few weddings, which were coming fast and furious through the month of October. Casey and CJ were married off-site and then invited their guests back to Graeme Park for a dinner catered by Maggio's of Southampton, drinks and dancing.

In keeping with the fall season, they decorated with bales of hay, corn stalks, pumpkins, and colorful mums. Homemade signs directed guests to the important locations (the Open Aire Affairs tent where the reception was taking place, and the restrooms).

A beautiful display of hors d'oeuvres were put out in the barn yard for guests to enjoy when they arrived.

In keeping with the season, place cards were made from mini-pumpkins and paper leaves and the wedding colors incorporated orange and purple, gold, and russet red.

A faux pumpkin was carved with the couple's name and wedding date - what a nice memento to bring out every Halloween!

Caramel apples were a fun take-home favor for the guests, and to satisfy their sweet teeth during the wedding there was a tower of cupcakes, topped with a small cake for the couple to enjoy on their one year anniversary.

The bar was decorated with mums and the card box had an elaborate floral topper.

As evening fell the lights on site and in the pumpkins took on a nice glow.

And the lights in the tent were even purple in keeping with the theme.

Congratulations Casey and CJ and thank you for choosing Graeme Park to celebrate your day.
