A Wedding at Graeme Park: Katie & Steve

The weather Gods finally turned things around for Katie and Steve's wedding at Graeme Park and they had a gorgeous day of bright blue skies and sunshine for their vows in front of the Keith House.

The cocktail hour was held in the field between the 18th century house and the 19th century Pennsylvania bank barn. Joey G's always puts on a huge spread of hot and cold hors d'oeuvres and guests had their choice of high and low top tables and lounge furniture to enjoy their sips and nibbles. There were also some lawn games for the more athletic types to enjoy.

Inside the tent, tables were set with vintage linens and colorful flowers in an assortment of milk glass vases.

The menu consisted of tomato, mozzarella and roasted peppers over field greens, filet mignon, pan seared crab cakes, whipped potatoes, grilled asparagus, and vegetarian options, plus a dessert bar.

The lovely cake was done by Velvet Sky Bakery and included vintage toppers (family heirlooms?) in the display.

The periphery of the tent included displays of vintage wedding photographs and "s'more love" for guests to take home.

Congratulations Katie and Steve and thank you for celebrating at Graeme Park.

A Wedding at Graeme Park: Kori & David

Kori and David had a beautiful September afternoon for their boho-styled wedding at Graeme Park. The bride, bedecked in a baby's breath wreath, walked out of the woods in a lace gown like a woodland fairy and joined her gingham-shirted and green-bow-tied groom and guests in front of the historic Keith House.

After the ceremony the guests enjoyed a lavish spread of hors d'oevres, including cheese and crackers, fruit, grilled vegetables, sliders and other hot appetizers catered by Joey G's of Newtown.

Joey G's., who is one of our preferred caterers, then followed with a casual, relaxed meal of iceberg lettuce wedges with crumbled bacon and blue cheese, build-your-own burgers and dogs, grilled veggie wraps, mac and cheese, and assorted fries.

The tent was decked out in full bouquets of fresh daisies and baby's breath, simple white linens and natural wooden chairs.

The cake echoed the daisy theme and was topped with the couple's initial.

Congratulations Kori and David and thank you for choosing Graeme Park to celebrate your marriage.

A Wedding at Graeme Park: Kathy & Bob

Kathy and Bob selected the peaceful area near the waterfall at Graeme Park as the site for their ceremony with the guests facing towards the pond and stream.

The cocktail hour was held in the field between the 18th century stone farmhouse and the 19th century Pennsylvania bank barn, providing lovely views of both for their guests to enjoy, along with  appetizers, including sliders and fried mozzarella prepared on the spot by Joey G's Catering of Newtown, scallops wrapped in bacon, grilled vegetables, and fresh fruit.

Inside the Open Aire Affairs wedding tent was decorated in pale gray and sunny yellow with paper lanterns hanging from the ceiling, simple candle lantern centerpieces and table numbers anchored with corks from Barefoot Wines for a beachy vibe.

In addition to the menu of spring mix salad, chicken with spinach and roasted red peppers, London broil, mac and cheese, roasted potatoes, asparagus, and mushrooms with caramelized onions, Joey G's also baked and decorated the traditional, two layer wedding cake. The dessert menu also included his signature cheesecake pops dipped in dark chocolate.

Congratulations Kathy and Bob and thanks for choosing Graeme Park.

A Wedding at Graeme Park: Brandy & Adam

Brandy and Adam had a perfect day in May to get married in front of the historic Keith House at Graeme Park. Natural looking boquets of flowers in mason jars lined the aisle,

and the wedding party coordinated with the blue trim on the house. Mayor Norm Hawkes of Hatboro performed the ceremony.

After the ceremony, the wedding party led the way to the cocktail hour near the Open Aire Affairs reception tent. And yes, the couple's bulldog was a part of the wedding party.

The wedding was catered by Joey G's of Newtown, and the hors d'oeuvres included sliders, fried mozzarella, and fruit and cheese platters.

The wedding tent continued with the garden theme set up by the birdhouse at the entrance. The blue tables were dressed with burlap runners in a gardening theme, more casual flower arrangements, and a chicken wire fence held the escort cards.

The large "M" (the couple's last initial) served as the guest book with guests signing their well-wishes in gold Sharpie.

The cake was traditional with a silhouette topper made modern and fun by personalizing it with the groom fishing.

After enjoying their meal, guests danced and played lawn games as the sun went down.

Congratulations Adam and Brandy and thank you for choosing Graeme Park for your wedding celebration.
