A Wedding at Graeme Park: Miriam & Prabhas

We're just getting started with weddings at Graeme Park this October, with Miriam and Prabhas kicking off the month last Sunday with a sweet, afternoon celebration. The day started off misty and overcast, which was probably actually better for their photographs, which they did before the ceremony.

By the time they were ready to say the "I Dos" it was a perfect fall afternoon with the historic Keith House as a backdrop for a ceremony that celebrated their love and their diverse backgrounds and traditions.

After the ceremony, guest enjoyed cocktails and hors d'oeuvres in the barnyard, followed by a sit-down dinner catered by Joshua's.

The Open Aire Affairs tent was decorated in a pretty palette of peacock blue and apricot with casually arranged groups of flowers on each table. Rather than numbers, the tables were identified by places the couple had traveled together, from as near as the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens to as far as the Taj Mahal. Each table was required to stand and "sing for their supper" as their dinner was served and thus the couple was serenaded with songs throughout the afternoon. We even heard some rehearsals going on in the restrooms, so evidently it was taken quite seriously.

Congratulations Miriam and Prabhas and best wishes for a happy future together. Thanks for choosing Graeme Park for your celebration.
